HISTORY & PURPOSE
The Boulevard Investment Group was founded in 2012 by former SMU students Doug Rothfeldt, Giuliano Blei, Will Baker, Maddie Nolan, Michael Singelyn, and Matt Reyes. The 501(c)(3) nonprofit investing group manages a ~$250,000 portfolio of equity securities in the financial, energy, consumer, technology, industrial, and healthcare sectors.
PURPOSE
Donation: Achieve significant investment returns and donate annual portfolio proceeds to fund scholarships for SMU business students.
Education: Educate Junior Analysts in investment valuation, thesis generation, and strategic decision-making through a formal training process led by executive members.
Placement: Provides an advantage in gaining acceptance to the premier finance honors programs in the Cox School of Business and access to a nationwide network by providing technical training and interview preparation.
DONATION HISTORY
Each year, BIG donates investment proceeds to the BBA Scholars Program in an effort to give back to the Cox School of Business.
